Vancouver Island Salmon

 

May is the kickoff to the West Coast salmon season when the Chinook migration to the banks off Ucluelet is in full swing.

As we pass into summer, Coho make an appearance along with a few other species and the various salmon can be found teeming off the banks until the end of summer with winter Chinook available until January.
